Did you know that your insurance rate is affected by how close you live to a Fire Station that has a Super Shuttle or Super Tanker? A Super Water Shuttle is a tank that carries water to fire.  If you live in the country, some of the fire stations will have a Super Water Shuttle. It is capable of pumping approximately 700 gallons per minute in order to get a fire under control or extinguished. A structure fire is a three station alarm, which means that the three closest stations to your home will respond. Once those trucks arrive, the captain will call in two other stations for assistance if need be.

Check with the Fire Chief in your area and see what stations will respond and how many Super Water Shuttles they have. Call your insurance company and give them this updated information as it may affect the amount you may pay for house insurance.
